Course Overview: Two Paths to Certification
At Stuart Scuba, we offer two flexible ways to complete your Divemaster training:

Six-Day Intensive Course
- Cost: $1,900
- Format: Six consecutive days of in-depth training with classroom sessions and practical dives
- Ideal for: Divers looking to complete the course in a focused, short time frame

Custom Schedule Over Time
- Cost: Starts at $1,500
- Format: Create a personalized schedule to spread out your training while completing all course requirements
- Ideal for: Divers needing flexibility, whether due to work, travel, or personal schedules
Both courses require a minimum of 60 hours of training and six dives to complete certification, allowing you to gain hands-on experience in real-world dive conditions.

What to Expect in Your Divemaster Training
Our comprehensive Divemaster Course includes:
- Diver Safety and Rescue Techniques: Manage various scenarios to ensure safe dive experiences for all participants
- Dive Site Setup and Management: Learn the logistics of leading and setting up dives in real-world settings
- Dive Instruction and Assistance: Gain practical teaching experience by assisting with introductory scuba classes
- Enhanced Knowledge of Dive Theory: Dive deeper into the physics, physiology, and environmental impacts of diving, particularly relevant in specialty diving areas like Nitrox and Marine Life Fundamentals
Requirements:
- Age: Minimum 18 years
- Certification: Advanced Open Water and Rescue Diver
- Dive Experience: At least 40 logged dives
- Medical Clearance: Approved medical statement
- First Aid and Oxygen Provider Courses
In addition, you’ll need a Dive Master Learning Kit containing standards, teaching materials, and other essential resources. We recommend getting all equipment essentials directly from the Stuart Scuba Shop.

Course Includes:
- Divemaster Crew Pack (SDI)
- Pool Sessions and 4 Boat Trips for Training

Prerequisites:
- 18 years old
- Advanced Open Water Certification
- Rescue Certification with CPR Primary and Secondary Care Certification
- 40 logged dives (60 prior to final certification)
- Diving physical signed within the past year
- DAN Member Insurance

Required Equipment:
- Mask, Fins, Snorkel & Whistle
- Surface Marker Buoy (SMB) & Reel
- BCD, Regulator with gauges, computer, compass (rentals available but at this level you should have your own gear)
- Tanks for Dives (rentals available)
- Dive Tables
- Dive Knife & Dive Light
If Rescue, Oxygen Provider and CPR Primary and Secondary Care are needed (review course prerequisites), we can package these courses together with Divemaster training starting from $1800 per person.
